Greenlight is the leading family fintech company dedicated to helping parents raise financially smart children. We currently support more than 6 million parents and kids through our award-winning banking app, which allows families to manage chores, automate allowances, and invest for the future. We are looking for a Director of Engineering to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will lead our Partnerships engineering team, overseeing the development of the tools and integrations that power our commercial partnerships and B2B offerings.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategic and technical vision for the Partnerships team, ensuring that our execution aligns with long-term business goals.
- Manage and mentor multiple engineering teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with Product, Business Development, and Operations leadership to prioritize roadmaps and deliver scalable, reliable partner experiences.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of software development experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple engineering teams.
- Technical proficiency with backend services using Java, Go, Kotlin, or Node.js, alongside experience with front-end platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise working with cloud-native technologies and platforms such as AWS.
- A proven track record of leading complex projects and driving technical roadmaps within a high-growth, fintech, or B2B environment.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to bridge the gap between day-to-day engineering execution and broader organizational objectives.
What we offer
