The opportunity
We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Director of Engineering Partnerships to take ownership of our global R&D partner and contractor ecosystem. This is a high-impact executive role where you will sit at the intersection of engineering execution, workforce strategy, and vendor economics. Your primary goal is to ensure our external talent model directly enhances our engineering throughput, productivity, and speed to market. You will act as a key partner to our leadership in Engineering, Product, Finance, and Talent Acquisition, using your expertise to build a flexible, high-quality, and scalable global R&D organization.
A day in the life
- You will define and manage our global strategy for engineering partners, ensuring that our external workforce is perfectly aligned with our delivery timelines and financial goals.
- You will lead high-stakes commercial negotiations, including rate cards and contract terms, while working closely with Legal and Procurement to mitigate risk and maximize efficiency.
- You will partner with engineering leaders to set clear productivity and quality standards, using data-driven insights to hold vendors accountable for sprint predictability and code quality.
Who you are
You are an experienced executive with at least 8 years of background in engineering partnerships, vendor management, or technology operations, ideally within a product-led or SaaS environment. You possess a sharp commercial mind and have a proven track record of scaling global contractor ecosystems, including nearshore and offshore models. You are comfortable navigating complex negotiations and have the executive presence to influence stakeholders across the entire organization. You are inherently data-driven, analytical, and decisive, with the emotional intelligence required to build long-term, trust-based relationships with our partners.
