What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage our Platform and DevOps teams, providing the strategic direction and engineering guidance necessary to meet our short and long-term business goals.
- Drive the success of our infrastructure by developing tools and capabilities that prioritize deployment speed, system reliability, and overall performance.
- Collaborate across the organization to reduce friction in our build, test, and deploy processes while maturing our systems to support scale, elasticity, and security.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering leadership and a passion for building resilient systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Over 7 years of experience in engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles, with at least 5 years spent in a leadership or management capacity.
- Deep technical expertise with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI, ArgoCD, Datadog, PagerDuty, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- A proven track record of managing high-scale transactional systems, including experience with event-driven architecture, serverless microservices, and breaking down monolithic applications.
- Experience working within a startup environment and navigating the challenges of rapid growth.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders and lead teams through complex technical transitions.
- A collaborative mindset that balances consensus with the ability to make decisive actions, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
