Role at a glance
We are looking for an executive-level Director of Engineering, Mobile to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fully remote position, meaning you can work from anywhere. You will be responsible for leading our mobile strategy and fostering a high-performing engineering culture that keeps us at the forefront of the industry.
Your impact
- Manage, grow, and mentor a talented group of mobile engineers and managers while fostering a culture of trust and autonomy.
- Serve as a primary technical expert and leader, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in product, data science, and marketing.
- Drive engineering excellence by advocating for high-quality code, scalable architectural designs, and efficient development processes.
What you'll need
- Over 10 years of experience building and leading healthy, high-performing mobile teams through complex organizational challenges.
- Deep technical expertise in iOS or Android native SDKs, with a preference for iOS experience.
- Proven success in shipping large-scale projects that involve multiple dependencies across different teams.
- Strong proficiency with CI/CD workflows, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure app stability and performance.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, empathetic approach to leadership.
- A genuine passion for the outdoors and a desire to contribute to an inclusive, ego-free team environment.
