About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Engineering, Mobile to join our team on a full-time basis. In this executive-level role, you will be responsible for managing and growing our talented mobile engineering organization. You will serve as a key technical expert, guiding our mobile strategy while fostering a culture of excellence, trust, and autonomy across our distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of experienced mobile engineers and managers while maintaining a focus on high performance and professional development.
• Act as a primary technical authority, driving architectural decisions and advocating for high standards of code quality and modern technology adoption.
• Collaborate across departments, including product, security, data science, and marketing, to ensure our mobile initiatives align with our broader company goals.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience building and leading healthy, high-performing mobile teams that have navigated complex technical and organizational hurdles.
• Deep technical expertise in iOS or Android native SDKs, with a preference for candidates who have strong iOS backgrounds.
• Proven ability to ship large-scale projects with multiple dependencies.
• Strong working knowledge of CI/CD workflows and modern monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on empathy, humility, and a genuine passion for the outdoors.
