Responsibilities
- Build and scale the Platform organization from a single engineering pod into multiple specialized teams covering areas such as Developer Productivity, Data Management, and Process Execution.
- Set the technical strategy and roadmap for infrastructure services, ensuring reliable delivery of CI/CD pipelines, backend data systems, process execution engines, queuing, monitoring, and alerting.
- Lead hiring, performance management, and mentorship while fostering a culture of continuous learning, clear accountability, and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience managing engineering managers in a high-growth environment, along with five or more years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proven success leading multiple cross-functional engineering teams and building high-scale, high-throughput cloud applications.
- Deep expertise designing and operating distributed systems, including consistency models, partitioning strategies, and resilience patterns for highly available services.
- Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and its surrounding operational tooling, plus hands-on experience implementing SRE practices such as SLOs, SLIs, and structured incident management.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to guide decisions, set and track team KPIs, and manage engineering budgets, headcount planning, and vendor relationships.
- In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards such as GDPR and SOC 2.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
What we offer
Base salary for this role ranges from $230,000 to $315,000, and the position participates in Invisible’s equity plan. You can work remotely from anywhere on a schedule that fits your lifestyle. Partners share in company ownership-more than 65 percent of equity is held by the partner community-and annual profits are reinvested to support growth while providing liquidity through a formal share-buyback program each year.
