The role

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our Infrastructure and Security team. This is a full-time, remote position that requires an experienced leader capable of guiding our cloud strategy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our platform remains reliable, secure, and scalable as we continue to grow. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned engineering director who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Core responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of high-performing infrastructure and security engineers to scale our cloud operations effectively.
• Drive the strategy for our cloud environment, ensuring we maintain high standards for availability, reliability, and security while managing costs.
• Collaborate across departments with finance, legal, and engineering teams to deliver complex projects that align with our broader business outcomes.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in managing large-scale, multi-region production environments. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 7 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years spent recruiting and managing teams of senior engineers.
• Deep expertise in AWS architecture and operations.
• Proven ability to manage cloud costs, perform financial forecasting, and handle vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with modern cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, PostgreSQL, Elixir, and Snowflake.
• A solid understanding of PCI compliance and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a self-driven approach to problem-solving.

Compensation and benefits

The total budgeted cash compensation for this position is between $200,000 and $250,000 USD, determined by your specific skills, experience, and market conditions. Beyond the salary, we provide a comprehensive package to support your well-being and professional growth:
