Role at a glance

We are looking for a Director of Engineering, Data to lead our data strategy and technical foundation. This is a full-time, remote leadership position designed for an experienced professional who is ready to scale our data platform, ML infrastructure, and governance frameworks. You will be based anywhere and will report directly to our SVP of Engineering.

Your impact

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Architect and scale our data infrastructure using modern tools like dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and Kafka to support both internal analytics and customer-facing products.
• Define and implement robust data governance, security, and compliance standards to ensure our systems remain reliable, performant, and secure.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should bring a deep technical background and a strategic mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in distributed systems, infrastructure, or data platform engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in people management, specifically leading senior engineers and technical leads.
• Proven expertise in building scalable data pipelines, ML infrastructure, and analytics products.
• A strong command of the modern data stack and a deep understanding of data privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to translate complex business goals into actionable technical roadmaps.
