The role
We are looking for a Director of Engineering for Data and Platforms to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a lead-level position for an experienced professional who is ready to guide our data engineering organization toward designing and delivering intelligent, scalable platforms. You will serve as a strategic partner to our product and business leaders, ensuring that our data infrastructure fuels the next generation of our company growth. We are seeking a leader who balances high-level strategy with hands-on technical contribution to drive our AI-first vision.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year data strategy that modernizes our infrastructure and accelerates the adoption of machine learning and generative AI across the enterprise.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Establish robust data governance, security, and compliance frameworks to ensure our data remains trusted, accurate, and reliable for all stakeholders.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, specifically within ETL/ELT environments using tools such as Fivetran, dbt, SQL, AWS Redshift, Boomi, PowerBI, and Git.
- 7 or more years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Python.
- 7 or more years of experience in a leadership role, managing and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Extensive background in designing and optimizing schemas for complex analytical and AI/ML workloads.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Hubspot, or Eloqua.
- A proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade data initiatives in a fast-paced, agile environment.
