What is this role?

We are looking for a Director of Engineering, Applications to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-level leadership position designed for an experienced professional who is ready to guide our engineering efforts. You will lead a talented team that sits at the heart of our value proposition, working with a high degree of autonomy to solve complex business challenges alongside our product and design partners.

What will you do?

• Lead and manage high-performing engineering teams, focusing on recruitment, mentorship, and the implementation of performance management programs to identify and promote top talent.
• Oversee the full product development lifecycle, ensuring that our software is scalable, secure, and delivered on time while maximizing value within budgetary constraints.
• Develop and execute strategic technical plans, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth that keeps our teams stimulated and passionate about their work.

• At least 4 years of experience managing software engineering teams within a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong technical proficiency with Java, React, and AWS.
• A proven track record of building teams, coaching them to success, and delivering high-quality software products.
• Previous experience in the healthcare or life sciences sector is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical initiatives to stakeholders across the entire company.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
