The opportunity

We are searching for a Director of Electrical Engineering to take the helm of our electrical design initiatives. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be the technical lead responsible for the entire lifecycle of our power systems. You will bridge the gap between initial feasibility studies and the execution of massive, 29MW distributed generation power plants. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring our designs are not only cutting-edge but also compliant with rigorous industry standards like UL 2200 and NFPA 70, ultimately providing our customers with safe and efficient energy infrastructure.

A day in the life

• You will spearhead the design of power distribution systems, which includes managing the development of switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and circuit breakers while overseeing the creation of detailed single-line diagrams and schematics.
• You will provide hands-on technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers in power system design fundamentals and collaborating with manufacturing, purchasing, and inspection teams to ensure our projects meet the highest quality benchmarks.
• You will act as a primary point of contact for vendors and contractors, guiding them through commissioning, functional acceptance testing, and field troubleshooting to ensure that every system we deploy performs exactly as intended.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of experience in power systems engineering. You possess a deep understanding of three-phase AC power, switch-mode converters, and electrical enclosure design. Your toolkit includes proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office, along with a strong background in interpreting vendor documentation for critical infrastructure projects like data centers. You are a natural leader who excels at problem-solving, and you are comfortable navigating the complexities of interconnect applications and utility coordination. You communicate fluently in English and are ready to bring your expertise to our collaborative, on-site environment.
