We are looking for a Director of Development to join our team in Malaysia on a full-time, on-site basis. At Xsolla, we are dedicated to helping game creators bring their visions to life by providing the essential resources and support they need to succeed. Headquartered in Los Angeles with a global footprint, we partner with major industry players like Valve, Twitch, and Ubisoft to facilitate innovation across more than 200 geographies. We are seeking a strategic leader who can inspire our engineering teams and drive technical excellence to keep our solutions at the forefront of the gaming industry.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement a comprehensive software development strategy that aligns with our core business objectives and supports our long-term product roadmap.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing team of developers and technical managers, fostering a culture centered on collaboration and innovation.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle to ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions, while refining our development workflows to maximize efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering leadership and a passion for building complex systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in software development, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity managing distributed teams.
- Deep expertise in Agile and DevOps methodologies, along with a solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and make critical decisions under pressure.
- A degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, as is prior experience within the gaming industry or with payment infrastructure platforms.
