Have you ever wanted to apply your data leadership skills to help others live healthier lives? At Wellth, we are looking for a visionary leader to join our mission. We motivate and incentivize healthy habits through individualized care plans, using a unique blend of behavioral economics, habit science, and technology to support high-needs patient populations. Our work has already made a significant impact, helping over 65,000 patients and reducing hospitalization rates by up to 44% for our partners. As we aim to become a category leader in the $88B health outcomes market, we need you to take ownership of our data vision and lead the team that powers our life-changing products.
What you'll be doing
- Define and execute the roadmap for our data ingestion, warehousing, transformation, and reporting systems, ensuring they directly support our core revenue streams and customer expansion goals.
- Architect and scale our data infrastructure to maintain high performance and quality while managing complex data sets from internal systems, third-party health exchanges, and external customers.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-functioning team of 12 data managers, engineers, analysts, and scientists to deliver impactful insights and maintain a reliable single source of truth.
What you'll bring
We are looking for an executive-level leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in people management, with 3+ years specifically focused on leading and developing data teams.
- Over 5 years of professional experience building, operating, and troubleshooting production data systems, alongside a strong background in analytics and data strategy.
- Deep technical proficiency with our core stack, including SQL, Python, dbt, Redshift, Fivetran, Airflow, Postgres, and AWS.
- A solid understanding of data privacy and security, particularly regarding secure SDLC guidelines and maintaining compliance standards like HITRUST.
- Proven experience working with healthcare data and a track record of partnering effectively with senior executives and cross-functional business leaders.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to operate autonomously within a hybrid, startup-oriented culture.
What you'll get
We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $200,000 to $240,000 USD. In addition to your compensation, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth:
- Flexible hours to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Generous paid time off.
- Comprehensive dental insurance and vision insurance.
- The opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, combining the benefits of remote flexibility with the collaborative energy of our team.
