We are looking for a Director of Data Engineering & Analytics to lead our data vision and team, helping us scale our impact as we strive to become a category leader in the health outcomes market.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the roadmap for our data ingestion, warehousing, transformation, and reporting systems to support core revenue streams.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 12 data managers, engineers, analysts, and scientists.
- Design scalable architecture to support increasing data volume and variety while maintaining high performance.
- Collaborate with product managers and executives to deliver actionable insights and next-generation outcomes reporting.
- Establish data governance practices and ensure compliance with security standards, including our HITRUST certification.
- Identify process optimizations to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain a high bar for data quality throughout the entire life cycle.
Must-haves
- At least 7 years of experience in people management, with 3+ years specifically leading teams of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
- 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production data systems.
- 5+ years of experience in data strategy, governance, and translating complex data into business insights.
- Strong technical proficiency with tools such as SQL, Python, dbt, Redshift, Fivetran, Airflow, Postgres, and AWS.
- Proven ability to manage data privacy and security in a regulated environment.
- Experience working with healthcare data and products.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and executive audiences.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working in a startup environment, particularly within a team that achieved a successful exit.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $240,000.
