By connecting startups with investors, corporations, and cities, we cultivate thriving startup communities. We are currently looking for a Director of Communications to join our team on-site in Denver, Colorado, to lead our global narrative and elevate our brand presence within the startup ecosystem.
Key outcomes
- Define and execute our company-wide messaging, positioning, and global communications strategy.
- Produce high-impact content, including thought leadership pieces, press releases, blog posts, and executive briefings that highlight our innovation and impact.
- Implement integrated public relations strategies to build strong relationships with top-tier technology and financial media outlets.
- Provide expert counsel to our executive leadership team on communication matters and navigate reputation management alongside our legal and people teams.
- Secure high-profile speaking engagements and media appearances for our leadership to amplify our mission.
- Oversee media monitoring efforts to track industry trends and news relevant to our portfolio and organization.
- Manage our events staff to ensure the successful delivery of both digital and global external events.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a strategic communications role, ideally with a background in venture capital or the technology sector.
- Exceptional storytelling, research, and copywriting abilities.
- A proven history of managing reputation risks and navigating sensitive communications.
- Demonstrated success in building trust and influencing decision-making at the executive level.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $120,000 to $130,000, supplemented by a 10% bonus.
