Role at a glance
We are seeking an experienced Director of Cloud Operations to lead our cloud infrastructure and operations team. This is a full-time, executive-level position based on-site in Austin, Texas. You will report directly to our CTO and play a pivotal role in scaling our infrastructure while fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
Your impact
- Lead and mentor our DevOps team, driving a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration to ensure high-performance infrastructure.
- Develop and execute best practices for AWS management, focusing on automation, orchestration, and robust monitoring to support our security and development goals.
- Implement strategic FinOps and MLOps initiatives to optimize cloud spending and facilitate the deployment of AI and machine learning models in production.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Security. We are looking for a strategic leader who possesses the following qualifications:
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles, including 4 or more years managing cloud operations teams.
- Deep technical proficiency in AWS, including networking, IAM management, and data governance.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, specifically using Terraform.
- Strong programming skills in at least one high-level language, such as Python.
- A proven ability to lead high-performing teams and communicate complex technical strategies to leadership.
- Fluency in English.
