Director of Cloud Experience at Life360

We are seeking a Director of Cloud Experience to lead the evolution of our cloud operations into a developer-centric platform. In this role you will shape how internal engineering teams consume Cloud as a Service, building the tooling, processes, and partnerships that let our engineers move faster while maintaining security, compliance, and cost discipline.

Key outcomes

• Partner with the Director of Operations to define and execute a cloud strategy that places developer needs at the center while aligning with Life360’s broader business goals.
• Design and deliver Cloud as a Service offerings that simplify infrastructure management, accelerate deployment, and raise developer productivity across the organization.
• Build advanced tooling and platforms that reduce friction in day-to-day workflows and foster continuous innovation within cloud operations.
• Establish yourself as the internal advocate for developers, gathering feedback and translating it into measurable improvements in our cloud platform and processes.
• Create reporting and metrics that demonstrate gains in time-to-market for new cloud services and changes.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure supports rapid prototyping, testing, and scalable growth for Life360’s expanding user base.
• Embed compliance requirements into developer workflows so teams can innovate without compromising regulatory standards.
• Strengthen Life360’s strategic relationship with AWS, focusing on services and programs that directly improve the developer experience.
• Champion a culture of continuous learning by providing training, mentorship, and resources that empower engineers to adopt new cloud capabilities.
• Guide cross-functional collaboration so cloud solutions remain integrated, efficient, and cost-effective while meeting the latest technical standards.
• Help engineering teams manage cloud spend by highlighting investments in developer tooling and identifying patterns that drive efficiency and right-sizing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a strong emphasis on software-development practices.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in IT or cloud operations.
• At least 5–7 years of direct, hands-on work with public-cloud platforms, cloud architecture, and cloud-service management, including substantial experience with AWS.
• Proven success improving developer experience through innovative tooling, platforms, and processes in cloud environments.
• Extensive leadership experience in developer-centric settings, with a track record of driving productivity, collaboration, and innovation.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a developer advocate-engaging communities, collecting feedback, and implementing changes that measurably enhance the developer experience.
• Fluency in English.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $235,000 to $335,000. Final compensation will be determined by an individual’s background and experience. The package also includes equity and a comprehensive suite of benefits.
