Role at a glance
We are seeking a Director of Applied Science to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is an executive-level position based in the United States, and we operate under a hybrid work model to balance collaboration and flexibility.
Your impact
- Provide high-level strategic and technical leadership to our Machine Learning Engineering team, ensuring our technical roadmap aligns with our broader business goals.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of our machine learning models, from initial development and research to deployment and long-term maintenance.
- Mentor and grow a team of talented engineers, cultivating a culture that prioritizes architectural quality, technical excellence, and professional development.
What you'll need
- Over 10 years of professional experience in machine learning, including at least 5 years spent leading and scaling high-performing technical teams.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, though a Master’s or PhD is highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in applying advanced machine learning techniques, such as supervised learning and causal inference, to solve complex, real-world business problems.
- A proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including Product, Finance, and Content leadership.
- Strong communication skills in English and a demonstrated history of delivering results at scale.
