Role at a glance
We are seeking a Director of Applied Science, Growth Initiatives to join our team. This is a full-time, executive-level position. Because we operate as a virtual-first company, this role is remote and can be performed from anywhere within our approved regions.
Your impact
- Lead and mentor a talented team of Applied Scientists, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous professional growth.
- Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models and AI algorithms to optimize user acquisition, engagement, and long-term retention.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations leaders to identify high-impact growth opportunities and leverage generative AI to create novel solutions.
What you'll need
- A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in applied science, including 3 or more years in a leadership capacity.
- Deep expertise in machine learning, AI, and causal inference, specifically within marketing and growth contexts.
- Proven success in using AI to drive tangible business growth within a technology company.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
