The opportunity

We are searching for an experienced Director of Infrastructure Engineering to join our team and report directly to the Head of Platform Engineering. In this executive role, you will be the driving force behind our cloud strategy, ensuring our infrastructure remains highly available, resilient, and secure. You will lead a talented, geographically dispersed team, guiding them as they implement cutting-edge architecture and maintain the reliability our customers expect. A day in the life

• You will collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define and execute a cloud strategy that aligns with our overarching business objectives.
• You will lead the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform to ensure scalability and security.
• You will manage a global team to maintain 24/7 incident response, providing governance over our processes and ensuring we meet our uptime and performance goals.

Who you are

You are a seasoned leader with over 10 years of experience in engineering management and agile program management. You possess a deep, hands-on understanding of AWS cloud-native architecture, microservices, and container orchestration. You are comfortable working with tools like Kubernetes, Kafka, and API Gateways, and you have a strong background in observability solutions such as Grafana, Honeycomb, and Open Telemetry. Because we operate as a global team, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively coordinate across departments and stakeholders.
