Director, Engineering at Oshi Health

Oshi Health is transforming digestive care through a digital clinic model that provides patients with integrated, multidisciplinary support. We are seeking a Director, Engineering to help us scale our technology and improve the lives of those managing GI conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Partner with the Chief Technology Officer and product management to define technical strategy and align roadmaps with company goals.
• Oversee the architecture and development of our Web, Mobile, and Salesforce platforms.
• Implement performance metrics to track team health, productivity, and project timelines.
• Drive recruitment efforts to fill talent gaps and mentor engineers at all levels of seniority.
• Maintain high engineering standards to ensure our clinical tools and patient-facing features remain scalable and secure.
• Collaborate across departments, including clinical and operations teams, to ensure technology investments meet business needs.

Must-haves

• At least 10 years of experience in engineering, with a proven track record of building and scaling user-facing systems.
• Over 5 years of management experience within growth-stage startups.
• Strong background in making strategic technical decisions, including vendor selection and build versus buy assessments.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide both individual contributors and managers.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership and hiring practices.
• Knowledge of industry standards regarding compliance and security.
• Fluency in English.
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree.

The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000 USD.
