Harry’s Inc. is building a modern consumer products company that puts people first while solving real, unmet needs. Since launching the Harry’s brand in 2013, we have grown into four consumer brands-Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, and Mando-plus Harry’s Labs, our incubation and M&A engine. Today we employ more than 900 people across the U.S., U.K., and Germany and stand as the largest CPG company founded in the last twenty years. Our mission, Create Things People Like More, guides every product, experience, and internal tool we deliver, and it extends to the communities we serve through year-round nonprofit partnerships.
The role
We are hiring a Director, Engineering on a full-time, hybrid basis to lead the DTC engineering teams for Harry’s and Flamingo. This director-level position calls for a seasoned technical leader who will shape engineering strategy, guide a high-performing team, and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver technology that drives growth and elevates customer experiences.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and execute engineering strategies, roadmaps, and goals that align with the DTC vision for Harry’s and Flamingo.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery while optimizing for quality, efficiency, and business impact.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
Skills and experience
We look for candidates who bring at least eight to ten years of engineering experience, including five or more years in a leadership capacity. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is required; a master’s degree or MBA is a plus. You will need deep, hands-on familiarity with Shopify, AWS, and Looker, along with a solid understanding of cybersecurity, identity and access management, and data governance best practices. Prior work in the CPG or ecommerce sectors is strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential so you can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical partners. We value leaders who act as trusted subject-matter experts on Shopify, take full ownership of team workflows, seek continuous growth through curiosity and feedback, and have a proven record of coaching engineers to success.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this role is $250,000–$310,000. In addition, we offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k match, equity in Harry’s, flexible hours and hybrid work arrangements, wellness and learning-and-development stipends, sabbaticals of four, six, or eight weeks after five, ten, or fifteen years of service, up to twenty weeks of pregnancy leave and sixteen weeks of parental leave, engaging in-person and virtual events, and free products from all of our brands.
How to apply
If this opportunity aligns with your experience and ambitions, we encourage you to apply and help us continue building technology that creates things people like more.
