What is this role?

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is an executive-level position perfect for a seasoned leader who is ready to shape the future of our technology as we scale. You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and serve as a key partner in driving our technical strategy across our web, mobile, and Salesforce platforms.

What will you do?

• Lead and Mentor: Foster a collaborative culture that values innovation and experimentation while mentoring engineers to help them grow in their careers.
• Drive Strategy: Partner with technical leads and product managers to evolve our platform architecture and ensure our technology roadmap aligns with company goals.
• Manage Execution: Oversee team health and productivity by setting clear performance metrics and coordinating large-scale projects to ensure high-quality, timely releases.

To be successful in this role, you should bring a blend of deep technical expertise and empathetic leadership. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience building scalable systems and delivering user-facing products.
• Over 5 years of management experience within growth-stage startups.
• A strong background in making strategic build versus buy decisions and selecting vendors for major implementations.
• A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in both leadership and recruitment.
• A solid understanding of security and compliance standards within the engineering lifecycle.
• Fluency in English and a genuine passion for transforming healthcare.
