We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering to join our team in a full-time capacity. At PathAI, our mission is to transform patient outcomes by utilizing AI-powered pathology. Our AiSight platform and various AI products are designed to significantly enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment efficacy for diseases like cancer by applying advanced machine learning techniques. We are a diverse team of passionate individuals dedicated to solving complex problems, and we are seeking an experienced leader to help us scale our engineering organization while overseeing the development and performance of our core platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and foster the growth of multiple engineering squads dedicated to the core components of our AiSight platform.
- Provide strategic technical direction and architectural oversight to ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and highly scalable.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and science teams to transform complex business and scientific needs into robust, high-quality engineering solutions.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership positions.
- A proven history of managing multiple teams or squads that deliver complex, enterprise-grade software products.
- Strong technical expertise in modern software architecture, enterprise SaaS platforms, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience building secure and compliant systems within highly regulated industries, such as healthcare or life sciences, is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution.
