We are LINQ, a national high-growth software company focused on K-12 education administration. Our integrated suite of financial, operational, and nutrition solutions helps more than 30,000 schools and 17 million students run more efficiently and compliantly. We value integrity, excellence, continuous learning, and true teamwork, and we are looking for a leader who shares those values.
What is this role?
This is a full-time, hybrid Director of Engineering position at the executive level. You will guide multiple engineering teams that build custom software solutions for K-12 clients across the United States, working closely with sales, consulting, project management, and account teams.
What will you do?
- Provide technical leadership and ensure engineering teams follow best practices while delivering high-quality custom solutions on time and within budget.
- Estimate project scope, cost, and timelines, then prepare statements of work and contracts that support profitable growth.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring at least eight years of software development experience, including three or more years leading engineering teams. You are fluent in modern engineering principles and comfortable with agile, scrum, and waterfall methodologies. Your technical toolkit includes .NET, C#, Python, SQL Server, JavaScript, React, Angular, and Azure. You communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, manage multiple priorities with ease, and enjoy solving problems collaboratively. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, plus experience with custom or funded development projects in a consulting setting, will help you stand out. All work is conducted in English.
What's in it for you?
We offer a remote-friendly hybrid environment with the option to work from offices in Wilmington, Irvine, or Austin. Benefits include a 401k plan with 4 percent employer match fully vested from day one, a company bonus or sales commission plan, flexible open paid time off, 10 paid holidays, and 16 hours of paid volunteer time. You will also receive paid parental leave, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield, 100 percent employer-paid short- and long-term disability, basic life, and AD&D insurance, plus health and wellness reimbursements and ongoing professional development opportunities.
