What is this role?

We are looking for a Director, Design Systems, Accessibility & Operations to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level leadership position that reports directly to the VP of Product Design. You will be the driving force behind our design vision, leading a team of designers while partnering closely with engineering and product leadership to scale our design practice and ensure our systems are both efficient and accessible.

What will you do?

• Lead the strategy and execution of our design systems, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic across multiple products while maintaining high standards for accessibility and design excellence.
• Manage design operations by analyzing team capacity, overseeing workload assignments, and utilizing tools like Jira to track progress and optimize workflows.
• Mentor and grow a team of designers, fostering a culture of design thinking and professional development while acting as an advocate for the value of design systems to executive leadership.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of product-led organizations. You bring a strong visual aesthetic and a proven ability to bridge the gap between design and technical implementation.

• You have over 8 years of experience in the design industry, including at least 5 years of leadership experience mentoring junior colleagues.
• You possess 3 or more years of specific experience leading design systems and design operations teams.
• You are highly proficient in Figma and Jira, and you have a solid track record of managing project roadmaps and capacity planning.
• You are a skilled communicator who can explain complex design decisions and the value of accessibility to non-design stakeholders in clear, business-focused terms.
• You embody a We, Not Me attitude and thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
• You are fluent in English.
