Role at a glance
We are seeking a Director of Data Science to lead our Machine Learning team within the Engineering organization. This is a full-time, remote position that is schedule-centered in the US Eastern time zone. We are looking for an experienced leader who can partner with cross-functional teams to develop impactful ML products for our ad marketplace business.
Your impact
- Define the vision and strategy for Machine Learning, working closely with Product teams to execute a high-impact roadmap.
- Mentor and guide multiple teams of data scientists, fostering a culture of professional growth, inclusivity, and continuous innovation.
- Oversee the development of ML models and algorithms from inception to maturity, ensuring all solutions are scalable, validated, and delivered on time.
What you'll need
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or a related field, combined with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in the ad tech programmatic ecosystem, specifically regarding buyer-facing products.
- Proven success in building ML products that drive business results under tight deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of ML techniques, particularly Deep Neural Networks designed for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Fluency in SQL and professional experience with Python.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data sets and experimental results for diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure is preferred, as is experience with Java or Golang.
