We provide a full spectrum of services, ranging from initial power plant development to long-term operations and maintenance. We are currently seeking a Director of Data Center Engineering to join our team in a remote capacity, with the expectation of travel up to 50 percent of the time.
Key outcomes
- Direct all engineering efforts related to land preparation, ensuring sites are fully prepared for data center construction and meet all regulatory standards.
- Manage the integration of essential utilities, such as solar energy systems, water, and fiber optics, by coordinating effectively with external contractors.
- Oversee multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, maintaining strict control over project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Foster strong collaboration between internal teams and external partners to resolve engineering challenges and achieve project milestones.
- Ensure all work adheres to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to our engineering staff while staying current on the latest advancements in renewable energy technology.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- At least 7 years of professional engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the construction of new data centers.
- Demonstrated success in land development and the coordination of utilities for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure and renewable energy systems, specifically solar energy.
- Exceptional project management abilities, with a history of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- An advanced degree, such as a Master’s or PhD, in a relevant field.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
