The role
We are seeking a visionary Director, Data and Pricing Platform to join our team on a full-time basis in India. This is a senior leadership position for an experienced professional who can drive a step-level improvement in our company-wide data initiatives. You will operate in a hybrid work environment, leading cross-functional teams to align our technical data strategy with our broader business objectives.
Core responsibilities
- Define and execute an 18-month roadmap for our analytics, data, and machine learning platforms to ensure they remain aligned with our organizational goals.
- Lead the design and implementation of a federated data platform and a high-performance machine learning platform that supports our core pricing models, which drive billions of dollars in revenue.
- Establish robust data governance and security policies while mentoring a high-performing team of software, data, and machine learning engineers.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity overseeing data, software, or machine learning engineering teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end data lifecycle, including ingestion, feature engineering, and the productionization of machine learning models.
- Proficiency with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Databricks and big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset with a proven track record of driving data-driven cultural transformation.
