The opportunity
We are looking for a Director, Brand and Communications to help us define our voice and establish Caribou as the clear leader in the auto refinancing space. This role is a perfect blend of high-level strategy and hands-on execution. You will shape our brand identity and value proposition across both consumer and B2B channels. By overseeing our storytelling, PR, social media, and creative direction, you will build brand equity and foster genuine customer advocacy. You will be a key partner to our executive team, ensuring that our mission is communicated clearly and effectively to the world.
A day in the life
- Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that reflects our core values and keeps us competitive, unique, and inspiring in a fast-paced market.
- Lead our PR and content efforts by crafting compelling narratives that resonate with customers and partners, while pitching stories to media outlets to generate meaningful coverage.
- Manage and mentor a talented team of employees and agency partners to execute organic social media campaigns, community engagement initiatives, and brand performance tracking.
Who you are
You are a gifted storyteller and a strategic thinker who thrives in high-growth environments. You possess a strong sense of aesthetics and a proven ability to lead teams toward a shared vision. You are comfortable navigating the complexities of the fintech or financial services industry and have a knack for building brand narratives that stick.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- You bring over 10 years of experience in consumer brand strategy and brand building, ideally within a high-growth startup.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- You are fluent in English and ready to lead with empathy and precision.
