At NoRedInk, we are dedicated to helping students become more effective writers. Our adaptive, interest-based curriculum is currently used in more than 60% of U.S. school districts, and we have helped students complete over 10 billion exercises to date. We are looking for a visionary Director of Brand and Buzz to lead our efforts in building brand awareness and fostering deep engagement with educators and district administrators. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will oversee a talented team responsible for storytelling, event strategy, and community building, ensuring our mission resonates with those who shape the future of education.
Key outcomes
- Refine and elevate our visual and written brand identity to ensure it remains impactful and aligned with our core mission.
- Develop and execute creative campaigns that empower our employees to act as brand ambassadors and effectively communicate our values.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with community groups and technology organizations to broaden our influence and co-create meaningful content.
- Manage our digital presence across social media and our website, utilizing SEO strategies to drive visibility and lead generation.
- Direct our content and event strategy, including national and regional initiatives, to position NoRedInk as a thought leader for district decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Marketing Operations to track the ROI of all initiatives and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Mentor and coach a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
- Identify and secure earned media opportunities by working closely with internal experts and external advocates.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in brand leadership roles, ideally within the B2B or education technology sectors.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams with a focus on emotional intelligence and high standards.
- Strong expertise in storytelling and communication, with the ability to engage audiences through webinars and events.
- Demonstrated success in project management, including the ability to execute complex projects within budget and on schedule.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, webinar platforms, and various social media tools.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, though a Master’s degree in education or a related field is highly preferred.
- Previous experience working as a classroom teacher or school administrator is a significant plus.
- The ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale branding or re-branding initiatives.
- Deep understanding of human behavior and the psychological drivers that motivate educators and administrators.
Compensation
The on-target compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000, which includes base salary and bonus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
