We are Global Atlantic Financial Group, a leading insurance company dedicated to meeting the retirement and life insurance needs of individuals and institutions. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of KKR, we leverage significant investment expertise and a strong financial foundation to deliver tailored solutions for our clients. We are currently looking for a Director, AI Strategy to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will define our AI capabilities, identify strategic opportunities for implementation, and guide our technical direction. Please note that this position must be based out of our offices in either Boston, MA or Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and LLM-driven solutions.
Manage and process large-scale structured and unstructured data sets to drive business insights.
Utilize AWS services like Bedrock and Sagemaker to train, optimize, and deploy advanced AI algorithms and deep learning models.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of professional experience working specifically within the AI and machine learning space.
Strong proficiency in Python development.
Hands-on experience with deep learning toolsets and AI Transformer libraries, such as Hugging Face.
Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and distributed computing.
Please note that we are not currently offering visa sponsorship for this position.

What we offer

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $181,000 USD. Beyond base compensation, we provide a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your total well-being. Our benefits include:
