DevSecOps Engineer at PayZen

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in Israel. This is a full-time, hybrid position where you will play a critical role in strengthening the security and efficiency of our software. You will collaborate directly with our development and implementation teams to ensure our services remain secure, compliant, and highly performant.

What will you do?

• You will manage security protocols across all our platforms to prevent unauthorized access and protect sensitive data.
• You will proactively identify security loopholes and respond to potential threats in real-time, including preparing detailed incident reports.
• You will work closely with our Engineering and Data Leadership teams to integrate security directly into our CI/CD development phases and support our compliance efforts for SOC 2 and HIPAA.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in engineering and a passion for security. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a DevSecOps engineer, with deep knowledge of network security, including Firewalls, WAF, IDP, and application security.
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools, SIEM, log aggregation, and vulnerability management, with specific experience using tools like Wiz.io.
• 2 to 3 years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• A solid grasp of web servers, networking, load balancers, and Nginx.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python or Bash.
• Experience with security frameworks and infrastructure tools like Terraform.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Kubernetes, NodeJS server-side development, or monitoring tools like Splunk and NewRelic.
• Fluency in English is required for this role.
