At Fluence, we are dedicated to building a safer digital future by weaving security into the very fabric of software development. We believe that robust protection should never be an afterthought, which is why we are committed to creating a secure software factory that empowers teams to innovate without compromising on safety. By joining us, you will help shape the standards for secure infrastructure and resilient cloud environments, ensuring that every piece of code we ship is as secure as it is efficient.
The role
We are looking for a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in India where you will report directly to the Head of Product Security. You will play a vital role in our mission by bridging the gap between development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture where security is a shared responsibility throughout the entire software lifecycle.
Core responsibilities
- Integrate and manage automated security testing tools, such as SAST, DAST, and SCA, directly into our build pipelines to ensure continuous vulnerability detection.
- Design and maintain a secure software factory that embeds security best practices into our build and deployment processes from the ground up.
- Strengthen our software supply chain by implementing frameworks that protect our dependencies, components, and third-party libraries against emerging threats.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical foundation and a passion for security automation. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps or security engineering.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty.
- Proven ability to manage vendor security tools across cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and cloud security, alongside knowledge of container security for Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate security workflows.
- Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our global teams.
Compensation and benefits
We value the well-being of our team members and offer a hybrid work arrangement to provide flexibility and support a healthy work-life balance.
How to apply
If you are passionate about building secure systems and want to make a tangible impact on our security posture, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application, including your resume and a brief summary of your relevant experience, to our hiring team for consideration.
