At Trunk, we are on a mission to help engineering teams build high-quality software faster by removing the distractions that drain productivity and morale. Our founders, who have scaled software at industry giants like Google, Microsoft, Uber, and YouTube, started this journey in 2021 to build the ultimate developer experience platform. With $25 million in Series A funding backed by top-tier investors and industry leaders from GitHub, Apollo GraphQL, and Algolia, we are looking for a DevRel Engineer to help us empower developers across the globe. If you are passionate about building tools that help teams land code faster and develop happier, we would love for you to join our team.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that spans blog posts, social media, video tutorials, and partner collaborations to define our voice within the developer community.
- Create high-quality technical content, including long-form articles, code samples, and case studies, while actively maintaining and improving our official developer documentation.
- Engage directly with our community by identifying product bugs, building prototypes, experimenting with creative content series, and collaborating across our Product, Marketing, and Engineering departments.
What you'll bring
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience working as a software engineer within a team environment.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to educate and entertain a diverse audience of developers.
- Proficiency in creating instructional videos, screencasts, and compelling visual assets like infographics to support your technical writing.
- Fluency in English to effectively communicate our mission and technical concepts to our community.
What you'll get
The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $190,000 USD, complemented by equity compensation.
- Comprehensive insurance coverage, including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance, with 100% company-paid premiums for employees.

- Financial benefits such as a 401(k) plan, FSA, HSA with company contributions, and pre-tax commuter benefits.
- Generous time off policies, including unlimited PTO and up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
- Professional development opportunities and a One Medical membership.
