DevOps Platform Engineer at Azul Systems

We are currently building the Java platform for the modern cloud enterprise, and we want you to join our distributed team of engineers. We are on a mission to bring the best practices from the DevOps and SRE fields to every product we create. Our team manages the entire product building and distribution pipeline, which involves shipping over 1,000 binaries to customers across the globe with every release. We also maintain our SaaS solutions using an everything as a code approach, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for automation and high-quality engineering.

About the Role

We are seeking a DevOps Platform Engineer to join us in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will play a vital part in our success by boosting the productivity of our engineering teams and championing best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle. You will act as a bridge between various product teams, providing the support and automation necessary to keep our shipping pipelines running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our internal CI/CD pipelines and the underlying infrastructure.
• Provide expert support to engineering teams while promoting best practices for the software development lifecycle.
• Automate and optimize engineering processes to ensure our systems are efficient, scalable, and reliable.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in a similar position. We value candidates who enjoy delivering results at scale as part of a team and possess a strong sense of ownership over their work. You should be a proactive communicator who listens to other engineers, asks thoughtful questions, and backs up your technical decisions with data. Our technology stack includes AWS, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Loki, Cloudwatch, and Grafana, alongside scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Go. Familiarity with these tools is highly beneficial.
