The role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Oakland, California. This is a vital position for someone who enjoys tackling complex engineering challenges and wants to play a key role in the growth of our infrastructure. You will be instrumental in ensuring our platform remains performant and reliable as we expand our offerings to handle even more data.

Core responsibilities

• Build scalable workflows to automate the deployment, management, and continuous improvement of our cloud platform.
• Design and maintain observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and alerting systems, to ensure the smooth operation of our services.
• Improve infrastructure reliability and security by implementing robust automation for configuration management, compliance, and governance.

Skills and experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps role, or 2 years of experience combined with a degree in Computer Science.
• Proficiency in Python and a strong grasp of fundamental computer science concepts and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and container solutions such as Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
• Experience with performance tuning and monitoring systems like ELK, Prometheus, or Datadog.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously while driving team initiatives.
• Must be a US Citizen and meet specific residency or federal service requirements for the five years prior to application.

Compensation and benefits
