Are you ready to help us redefine how teams interact with their data? At Rill, we have built a workspace application that simplifies business intelligence by combining a SQL-based data modeler, a real-time database, and an interactive dashboard into one seamless product. We are a remote-first company with a global team spanning the US, Europe, and Asia, and we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our mission of making complex data analytics accessible to thousands of users.
What you bring
In this full-time, remote role, you will be instrumental in automating manual development and deployment tasks to build robust continuous integration and continuous deployment frameworks. You will ensure our production and non-production environments remain highly available while managing the entire deployment stack. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing state-of-the-art technical architectures that prioritize automation to streamline our product delivery.
- Establishing comprehensive monitoring systems that cover the three pillars of observability, which are metrics, tracing, and logs.
- Implementing and managing cloud architecture across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
Requirements
We recognize that maintaining streaming analytics pipelines requires a vast breadth of knowledge, so we value a willingness to learn and grow on the job. We are looking for candidates who possess at least 5 years of experience, ideally within an enterprise SaaS environment focused on infrastructure, analytics, or data. You should be comfortable thinking through complex requirements to find high-impact solutions. Technical proficiency with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as cloud data warehouses like BigQuery and Snowflake, is essential. We also look for expertise in building distributed systems using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm. You should be comfortable working with CI/CD systems and have experience with general-purpose programming languages such as Python. Finally, a strong grasp of security, performance, and regulatory compliance is vital for hardening our infrastructure.
What we offer
We are committed to building a diverse team of individuals from all backgrounds, as we believe this is the key to creating truly innovative products. We are an equal opportunity employer and are happy to provide accommodations for those with special needs. Our benefits include:
- The flexibility of a remote work environment.
How to Apply
If you are passionate about infrastructure and want to help us build a magical experience for our users, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to our team to start a conversation about how your skills and experience can contribute to the future of Rill.
