About the Role
We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer on a Full Time basis. In this remote position you will join a US-based robotics team to design and maintain the software infrastructure that powers real-time, safety-critical robotic systems running in production. Your work will focus on performance-critical development in C++ and Python, systems integration, build tooling, and deployment workflows inside Kubernetes environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead performance-critical C++/Python development and systems integration that keeps robotic platforms reliable and scalable.
- Design and maintain build tooling and deployment pipelines using Bazel and Kubernetes to support large, polyglot codebases.
- Collaborate across teams to drive technical outcomes for networked, distributed systems that must remain fault-tolerant in production settings.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in DevOps engineering, including deep expertise in Python and strong system-design and debugging abilities.
- Proven proficiency with the Bazel build system inside large, multi-language repositories.
- Thorough understanding of network protocols, distributed-system design, and fault-tolerant communication patterns.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux internals and hands-on experience packaging and deploying applications in Kubernetes, preferably for edge-compute or robotics workloads.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering production-grade infrastructure solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
