At Crunchyroll, we connect over 100 million anime and manga fans across the globe through a shared love for storytelling. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will join our Cloud Reliability team to build the infrastructure that powers our streaming, gaming, and community experiences. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our San Francisco or Los Angeles offices, where you will collaborate with development teams to enhance system stability and drive engineering efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Partner with service development teams to improve system reliability, performance, and engineering self-sufficiency.
  • Design and implement reusable automation patterns and infrastructure solutions using GitOps practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to proactively manage incidents and ensure the long-term stability of our high-volume services.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining infrastructure for high-volume, customer-facing services.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Over 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS core services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, and SQS.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a strong preference for TypeScript.
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to writing clear, concise documentation.

What we offer
