DevOps Engineer at Ozone

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote team at Ozone. You will serve as a primary contact for our backend engineering efforts, helping us build and scale a diverse suite of applications while shaping our internal culture and technical roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our core team to influence product strategy and business growth.
• Apply rigorous engineering standards across all testing, development, and deployment cycles.
• Develop internal tools to streamline software patching and system upgrades.
• Design automated solutions to reduce manual work and improve troubleshooting capabilities.
• Establish robust monitoring and alerting frameworks for all application services.
• Oversee the proactive maintenance and development of our backend infrastructure.
• Improve the scalability, stability, and efficiency of our production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement industry-leading delivery methods.
• Act as a key escalation point for our services team and customers, including participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of professional experience with Linux administration.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
• 5+ years of scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or BASH.
• 5+ years of experience scaling real-time data pipelines using Kafka.
• 5+ years of experience managing containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes within AWS.
• 3+ years of experience optimizing media caching pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience managing AWS services like EC2, ECS, S3, Cloudfront, and Lambda.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, specifically Terraform.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or RocksDB.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security.
• Experience documenting processes through Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Base articles.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with program management methodologies.
• Fluency in English.
