DevOps Engineer at LawAdvisor

Since 2015, LawAdvisor has been on a mission to make justice accessible to everyone by transforming how legal services are delivered. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the Philippines. As a mid-level engineer, you will act as a mindful orchestrator, bridging the gap between software and hardware to ensure our cloud systems are scalable, secure, and efficient. We are dedicated to revolutionizing the practice of law through state-of-the-art technology, and we need your expertise to help us build the infrastructure that makes this possible.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a robust cloud infrastructure strategy that prioritizes observability, redundancy, and system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and designers, to streamline workflows and ensure code is shipped to production efficiently.
• Lead the implementation of security and compliance frameworks, such as ISO 27001, while managing disaster recovery protocols to protect our platform and data.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in both engineering principles and cloud operations. We require the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS and scripting tools like Terraform or Unix shell.
• Proven experience working within an Agile framework and using tools like Jira to manage project workflows.
• A deep understanding of security best practices, disaster recovery concepts, and experience administering high-volume production environments.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Elixir, PostgreSQL, or have previously worked in a startup or legal tech environment.
