DevOps Engineer at Pontera

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Israel. This is a hybrid role where you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our production environment within AWS. You will be responsible for ensuring our systems remain scalable, secure, and highly available as we continue to grow.

What will you do?

• Design and deploy advanced cloud services while creating a custom architecture that meets our specific development and security needs.
• Implement robust automation solutions and maintain the overall resilience and uptime of our platform.
• Collaborate closely with our development, QA, BI, and security teams to troubleshoot issues, debug technical problems, and serve as an on-call engineer for urgent production incidents.

What makes you a great fit?

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience working in cloud-based SaaS environments and a strong technical background. We are looking for someone who possesses the following skills and experience:

• At least three years of hands-on experience working with AWS.
• Deep knowledge of container technologies, specifically Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Argo CD.
• Extensive experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• A solid understanding of Git and gitflow methodologies, along with experience using CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• A high level of security awareness and experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively with our global team.
