We operate on a foundation of excellence, courage, integrity, innovation, and teamwork, and we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Services team in Australia.

Key outcomes

• Advise on modern cloud infrastructure strategies while balancing reliability, cost, and the developer experience.
• Establish and refine best practices for CI/CD, automation, security, observability, and incident response.
• Select and implement new tooling to support our operational and development activities.
• Build, deploy, and manage the shared services used by our service development teams.
• Monitor system resources and proactively troubleshoot performance issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation to support our infrastructure.
• Collaborate effectively with service development teams to create paved paths that enhance the quality and consistency of our service delivery.

Requirements

• Strong self-motivation and a passion for designing effective solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent time management skills to handle the requirements of multiple projects and teams.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux systems and higher-layer services, from the operating system to web and database layers.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with provisioning and configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and scripting proficiency in languages such as Python.
• Proven ability to perform fault analysis and technical troubleshooting.
• A solid understanding of DevOps philosophies and practical experience in an Agile environment.
• Fluency in English.
