We are US Mobile, and we are on a mission to revolutionize connectivity by building a 21st-century software platform for the age of 5G and IoT. As a venture-backed company in a phase of hypergrowth, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our diverse, global team in Canada and help us scale our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage our cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Develop monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus to track application performance and system health.
- Implement security best practices to protect our services and maintain industry compliance.
- Automate environment configuration to ensure consistency across staging and production.
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to foster a high-performing DevOps culture.
- Lead incident response efforts and perform root cause analysis to improve system stability.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to optimize infrastructure efficiency.
Must-haves
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven professional experience in a DevOps or similar engineering role.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in an agile environment.
- Fluency in English with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Relevant industry certifications, such as a Google Cloud DevOps Engineer credential.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Background in database administration and management.
