At Shakudo, we are creating the world’s first operating system specifically designed for data and AI. Much like traditional operating systems such as Windows or Linux, our platform provides an end-to-end environment that integrates automatically operated, high-quality open-source components to meet the specific needs of our clients. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Canada on a full-time, on-site basis to help us maintain and scale this innovative infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
- You will manage and evolve our customer deployments by utilizing state-of-the-art Kubernetes tooling to ensure high performance and reliability.
- You will serve as the primary expert for cloud-managed services that interface directly with our Kubernetes clusters, including the operation of GPU servers and cloud node pools.
- You will collaborate closely with our product and solution engineering teams to execute seamless software rollouts, troubleshoot production issues, and identify key areas for infrastructure optimization.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in engineering and automation. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a DevOps capacity, with a specific focus on infrastructure management, automation, and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience managing and deploying cloud services using tools such as Terraform and Helm.
- Proficiency in the following technology stack: Kubernetes, Python, Go, AWS, GCP, and CUDA.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create technical documentation, deliver presentations, and write engaging content for technical audiences.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
