We support organizations of all sizes, including industry leaders like Twitch, Square, and Discord, by providing sophisticated editing tools and hiring analytics. Our work is driven by a deep sense of empathy for the hurdles candidates face, and we take pride in being a diverse, remote-first team that prioritizes meaningful conversations over endless meetings and creative solutions over rigid procedures.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will report directly to our VP of Engineering and play a vital role in building the data products that allow our customers to gain clear insights into their employment pipelines. This is a remote position that offers the flexibility of part-time work, allowing you to contribute your expertise to our mission from anywhere in the world.
A day in the life
- You will take ownership of our AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it remains robust, scalable, and efficient.
- You will focus on system troubleshooting and maintenance by designing proactive procedures that keep our services running smoothly.
- You will enhance our overall security posture by implementing rigorous security protocols and automating manual tasks to streamline our workflows.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with at least 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or backend development. You are comfortable working in a remote environment and possess a high level of proficiency in English. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation that includes:
- Expertise in Python programming and SQL for database management.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically using Terraform for automation and Docker with ECS for container orchestration.
- A deep understanding of Airflow and the ability to design comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems.
- A commitment to security best practices, particularly regarding the optimization of AWS security groups to ensure least privilege access.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in supporting our team members no matter where they are located. We partner with local Employers of Record to manage your employment, ensuring you have access to comprehensive benefits. These generally include medical, vision, and dental insurance, along with mental health support. As a remote-first company, we value your autonomy and provide the flexibility you need to do your best work. We are committed to a fair and inclusive hiring process, and we welcome applicants who can align their schedule with the US East Coast work day.
