About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will work on a vital federal program, helping us build and maintain the infrastructure that supports essential services for the public. You will collaborate with a talented group of engineers to establish best practices and ensure our systems are robust, efficient, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document CI/CD pipelines to streamline our development and deployment processes.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Write and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate configuration management and system tasks.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have a strong technical background and a commitment to professional excellence. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven expertise with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack.
- Deep experience managing AWS environments and supporting web technologies like Apache or Nginx.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SQL architecture, specifically MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS-SQL.
- The ability to mentor and train fellow engineers.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a low-level security clearance.
Location
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere within the United States.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in providing fair and competitive compensation for all our team members. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000 USD, depending on your specific skills and experience. In addition to your salary, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
