About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. Based in our Montreal office, you will serve as the first dedicated DevOps engineer on our team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with fellow engineers to ensure our cloud infrastructure remains reliable, secure, and user-friendly. You will also play a key part in establishing and championing DevOps best practices across our engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance our monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage and refine our CI/CD tooling to streamline our daily software deployment processes.
- Maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure while utilizing data-driven metrics to manage scale and resource costs effectively.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a commitment to operational excellence. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps or similar engineering role.
- Proven experience setting up and maintaining monitoring infrastructure using tools such as Datadog, NewRelic, Grafana, or Zabbix.
- Solid experience managing cloud infrastructure, with a strong preference for AWS.
- Working knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and general programming.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and standards like HIPAA or ISO 27001.
Location
This position is based in Canada, specifically working out of our offices in Montreal, Quebec.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in transparent compensation that reflects your output and role. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $130,000 to $197,000 CAD, which includes a combination of cash and stock options.
