The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Elements team. This is a cross-functional, agile group dedicated to building the infrastructure products that allow our internal teams to ship software quickly, securely, and reliably. You will play a key role in reducing the cognitive load for our product teams by creating highly automated data services. As part of our team, you will own and manage our data infrastructure, ensuring that our systems remain performant and resilient as we continue to scale.
A day in the life
- You will design and implement automated solutions using AWS as our primary cloud provider.
- You will collaborate with your team to maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
- You will write infrastructure as code and develop APIs to support the evolving needs of our product engineering teams.
Who you are
You are a collaborative engineer who thrives in an environment that values proactive communication and continuous learning. You possess a growth mindset and understand that technical excellence is a journey rather than a fixed destination. We are looking for someone who brings the following to our team:
- Proven experience delivering code within a production environment.
- Hands-on expertise implementing cloud solutions, with a strong preference for AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- A solid understanding of containerization and modern engineering principles.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, paired with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Please note that this role includes a 24/7 on-call component on a rotating weekly basis.
Why you'll love it here
We are committed to supporting your life both inside and outside of work. When you join our team in New Zealand, you will enjoy a hybrid work environment that offers the flexibility you need to do your best work. Our benefits package is designed to reflect our human values, including:
- Generous paid time off to use as you wish, in addition to statutory holidays.
- Comprehensive medical insurance.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program to support your mental health and well-being.
